Considering differences in cultural style

Culture consulting includes helping organizations deal with differences of culture within the organization- sometimes even erupting into conflicts between staff and managers.An organization’s lived culture can either reinforce or undercut its’ strategic goals.

  • With faith organizations these issues are particularly important for staff morale, retention and recruitment. In 2020, we ran a research project to look at Evangelical exiles - Christians that had left their churches and found themselves at odds with their background, deconstructing their beliefs and missing community.

  • We have consulted to two faith organizations who are struggling with conflicting faith requirements between staff, leaders and supporters.

  • Conflicts between millennials and older workers. e.g. millennials are wanting to address diversity issues, and value differences between those they personally hold and are activists in, and those held by the Board or the leadership of the organizations they work for.
