People tend to naturally seek out Doug and Anna’s wisdom to help with their non profits, small organizations - or other issues in life they are struggling with or want help with.

The couple realized there were common themes in these conversations:

• people were stuck

• they were thinking that there must be a better way

• and they loved the benefit of talking with ‘outsiders’ who listened, had something to offer that was informative AND actionable.

And so Le Roc Partners was born: a joint enterprise, pooling their skills and experience to help others.

As a couple they work on the continuum between individuals and organizations: At one end, Anna works with people from the ‘inside out’, using different holistic ‘entry ways’ to help them reach where they want to be. At the other end of the spectrum, Doug works from the ‘outside in’ - with the organization itself. And they often find themselves meeting in the middle and even using each others knowledge base and language!

Doug Balfour has worked for over 40 years with diverse organizations, including being CEO of one of the largest UK charities and latterly as CEO/owner of a philanthropic consultancy in the USA. Anna Balfour has grown her own psychological practice, with 40 years of experience in a variety of contexts, including debriefing relief workers, and speaking at a conference held in the UN NYC, for the next generation of philanthropists, innovators and impact investors.

They have multicultural experience, born in the UK and having lived and worked in many countries, including Amsterdam, Bogota Colombia, and Liberia West Africa. Doug has notched up 106 countries to his name and Anna has just over half of that!

At this time in their life, there is only so much art making, pickleball playing, and Formula 1 you can watch, and they had 3 shared goals: to continue to travel, to work on something meaningful together and have fun! So they began to take note of what was coming towards them - and formalized that into Le Roc Partners.
