Strategy Creation

In late 2020, the Balfour's went to Kenya, to assist a social enterprise who are selling dried fruit, supporting small farmers in East Africa. They led a strategy creation and planning process looking at the next 3 years of operation and brainstorming the options for growth in their markets.

 In 2021 and ongoing, Doug has been working with a start up Denver based Relief and Development charity, building out a strategy for their growth and creative ways of bringing together donors in collective funds.

PHILANTHROPY CONSULTATIONS

Anna and Doug have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples and families - people who want to be strategic with their giving and make a difference. This has involved time spent being curious and finding out what passions and interests the person has, then narrowing down the area they want to make an impact in. It has also involved going together on ‘vision trips’ to further develop the strategy of giving that is emerging.

STORY MAKING FOR FUNDRAISING

Anna and Doug have worked recently in the NW Florida panhandle to help tell the story of local social impact organizations. This has been for both specific fundraising purposes, and to clarify the distinctive characteristics of a charity, so they stand out, in an array of other local organizations. One such endeavor was with RENEW, where they helped raise funds and imported 20,000 medical grade masks from China, at the onset of the Corona Virus pandemic. The Balfours were also involved in the successful fundraising efforts of the PWMC - Point Washington Medical Clinic, to build their own purpose built facility.
